"הפכתם את חיי לשווים לחיות": השירים המצמררים שהקדיש ירדן ביבס לאשתו ולילדיו

בטקס ההלוויה של שירי, אריאל וכפיר ביבס בבית העלמין הסמוך למושב צחור שבמועצה האזורית אשכול, שולבו שלוש הקלטות של שירי רוק שבחר ירדן ביבס והקדיש למשפחתו שנרצחה בשבי חמאס. בתחילת טקס ההספדים אמרה מנחת הטקס כרמית פלטי קציר: "בטקס היום נשמע שירים שירדן בחר, כדרך נוספת לבטא את אהבתו ורגשותיו. המילים איתן נפתח מתארות את המקום בו נמצא ירדן עכשיו. 'התעוררתי לבד היום כי כל הציפורים עפו. בתוך הבית הריק הזה שלא מרגיש כמו בית אין מלאך של רחמים שישמע את הקריאה שלי. אין מלאך של רחמים לנגב את הדמעות שלא יפלו. התעוררתי לבד היום בשדות ההרג של מלחמת החיים, הדלת הזאת של החיים סגורה לנצח'".

השיר הראשון שהושמע בהלווייה היה "Roman Sky" של להקת ההבי מטאל האמריקאית אוונג'ד סוונפולד. המנחה כרמית פלטי קציר ציטטה את השורות מתוך השיר והפנתה אותן לשירי: "האם היית רגועה כשהם לקחו את חייך/ לפני שאת הולכת, ספרי לנו איך נראה גן עדן", ואז הושמעה הקלטת השיר.

השיר השני שהושמע בהלוויה היה "I Thank You Child" של המוזיקאי, היוצר והגיטריסט המטאל האמריקאי זאק ויילד, המוכר כגיטריסט של אוזי אוסבורן ומייסד להקת בלאק לייבל סוסייטי. "את השיר I Thank You Child'' בחר ירדן להקדיש לאריאל ולכפיר", אמרה המנחה. "נחמה בעיניכם, חמימות בחיוך שלכם, האמונה סטתה מהדרך. זה אתם שהפכתם את החיים שווים לחיות. אני מודה לכם ילדים שלי. זה אתם שהפכתם את החיים שווים לחיות. אתם כל עולמי והכל בשבילי. תדעו שתמיד תהיו עד קץ הימים" לאחר מכן הושמע השיר.

השיר השלישי שהושמע בהלוויה היה "Hold On to Memories" של להקת המטאל האלטרנטיבי האמריקאית דיסטרבד. המנחה אמרה שהשיר "מבטא את המקום שבו ירדן שואף להיות ואת הבקשה שלו מאיתנו, דרך מילות השיר, שירדן בחר להקדיש. נצלו את עד תום את שארית חייכם. תחיו את העולם במלואו, כל עוד יש לכם הזדמנות. האחזו בזיכרונות. שימרו כל רגע קרוב ללב, כדי להשאירם חיים. הטרגדיה הגדולה מכולן היא כשהנשמות נשכחות". השיר הושמע ועיניים רבות לא נשארו יבשות.
